Branch Art Exhibit: Interventions in Our Landscape

Throughout the month of September, Interventions in our Landscape by artists Karen Sekikawa and Stephanie Calvet is on display at North York Central Library branch.

Karen Sekikawa and Stephanie Calvet work at the intersection of architecture, photography, and design. Trained as architects and based in Toronto, they share a deep appreciation for culture and the built environment, often exploring neighbourhoods both locally and abroad. Their individual creative practices enrich their photography—Karen draws on her Japanese heritage through ikebana (flower arrangement), while Stephanie reconnects with design through urban sketching in pen and ink.

This exhibit is part of TPL’s Art Exhibits Space program. Toronto Public Library provides space for local artists to exhibit their work at locations across the city. These exhibits aim to reflect the diverse cultural interests of the city and its neighbourhoods.

The exhibit can be viewed during North York Central Library open hours.
